Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, more commonly known by simply her first name, was born in May of1988 in Tottenham, England. Her father deserted the family when she was 2, forcing her 20 year old mother to raise her alone. Adele began singing when she was 4 and states that she became obsessed with the sound of voices. Adele impersonated the Spice Girls at dinner parties when she was young. Adele and her mother relocated to Brighton when she was nine but soon moved back to West Norwood in south London.
