Alison “Ali” Larter was born in February of 1976 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She attended Carusi Middle School. She was signed by Ford modeling agency when she was only 14 when a scout for the company saw her on the street. Carter did not complete her senior year of high school so that she could model in Japan, Italy, and Australia. Carter loved Japan so much that she settled there for a little while when she was 17.
Larter made the shift to acting in the early 1990’s. She is perhaps best known for her role in the double roles of Tracy Strauss and Niki Sanders in the very popular NBC television series Heroes. She got her first role in 1997 in an episode of Suddenly Susan. She played the title role in the movie Marigold in 2007, alongside Indian superstar Salman Khan. She moved to Los Angeles to get movie roles.
