Bradley Cooper was born in January of 1975 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Germantown area. His father was a stockbroker, his mother worked for a local television affiliate. Cooper attended Germantown Academy and worked at the Philadelphia Daily News until he graduated in 1993. He began attending Villanova University, but then transferred to Georgetown University. He graduated with honors with a BA in English in 1197, but became fluent in French and spent six months as an exchange student in Aix-en-Provence, France.

Cooper received an MFA in acting from Actors Studio Drama School in New York City, working his way through school as a doorman at the Morgans Hotel. Cooper got a break when he made on onscreen debut with an appearance on Sex and the City in 1998. He then had a starring role on the short lived series The $treet. Cooper has since gone on to make dozens of films and television appearances including “The Hangover”, “Alias”, “ Silver Linings Playbook”,  “Limitless”, and most recently, “American Sniper”.  Cooper has earned three consecutive Oscar nominations for his roles in several movies, including “American Sniper”.

Cooper states that he has not had a drop of alcohol since he was 29 years old saying that it was ruining his life. He was married for a short time but that marriage ended in divorce. He is currently dating model Suki Waterhouse. He is often the subject of tabloid reporting since he is often linked to numerous romantic involvements with his leading ladies as well as his “Sexiest Man Alive” award by People magazine in 2011.  Cooper owns a modest 1500 square foot home in Los Angeles with a value of $1.4 million.
