Jeffrey Jacob, “J.J.” Abrams was born in June of 1966 in New York City but was raised in Los Angeles, California. His father was a television producer and his mother was an executive producer. Abrams attended Palisades high school as well as Sarah Lawrence College.

Abrams started his career writing scripts for a few unremarkable movies such as “Taking Care of Business” and “Regarding Henry”, but Abrams came around with his television series “Felicity” and the extremely popular spy drama “Alias”, as well as the infamous sci-fi thriller, “Lost.” Abrams has produced or directed so many winning television series and movies that it’s hard to keep track of them. Some of his most notable television works include The Office, Six Degrees, Anatomy of Hope, and Family Guy, just to name a few.
