Katherine Elizabeth Upton was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, in June of 1992 but grew up in Florida. She was a young equestrian and showed at the American Paint Horse Association. She has competed on a national level with her horse, Roanie Pony, and she has won three APHA 13 and Under Western Riding Reserve World Championships with a total of 4 Reserve championships.

After a casting call in Miami in 2008, Upton was signed by Elite Model Management. Upton moved to New York, where she was later signed by IMG Models of New York. Upton has worked vigorously over the past 5 years modeling for multiple campaigns and designers including Victoria’s Secret, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Dooney and Burke, and Garage. Upton was the face of Guess brand for their 2010-2011 season. Upton is perhaps best known, however, for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2011 and, that same year, a video of Upton doing the Dougie dance during a Los Angeles Clippers game that went viral on social media sites.

Upton has expanded her modeling career to include acting. Her first film was “Tower Heist”. Later, she was in a production of the “Three Stooges”. In 2014, she appeared in the comedy “The Other Woman”, and starred in Lady Antebellum’s music video “Bartender. Upton has appeared on numerous television talk shows as well including Saturday Night Live and Late Night with David Letterman. Upton has also appeared in magazine ad campaigns such as Complex, Esquire and Muse, as well as a television commercial for “Carl’s Jr.”

Upton earned $7 million last year and recently signed endorsement contracts with Express, David Urman, and Bobbi Brown.  Her current net worth of $20 million is sure to increase as this very young star has only begun her career and is well on her way to super stardom.
